Thin Ice Mine

Solo submission for Game Off 2022, based on the cliche "Thin Ice" and "Low-hanging Fruits".

Despite the month long duration, I unfortunately could only find 4 days to do this project! I will probably update the UI and graphics in the future.

Well, you're here now. You have no money left, and your well-being is on thin ice. The only option you have left is the dangerous Frozen Mine. Within the frozen lake, lies low-hanging ores which are valuable. Maybe if you can take a couple...

[Gameplay]

Mine ores as you pass under them. However, a reminder that the ice below you is very thin, and mining the ores above will weaken them even further. Pick your mining spots very carefully.

You will have a variety of tools to help you: the Sonar and the Construct, which will help you find and make better mining spots.

Look out for the frost buildup. Being frozen alive is your time limit.

[Controls]

Press D to accelerate. Your cart moves naturally, but you can make it go faster.

Sonar - Lights up nearby ice with their durability shown. Green means its still alright, while red means that its probably going to break soon.
Construct - Fortifies ice within a radius, enabling them to take just a little bit more punishment. Remember, this does not make them immortal.
